I apologize if this isn’t the best place to ask this question. I have been looking everywhere for more classical/orchestral music and EDM hybrids, but nothing has come close to this song.
I saw there were music subs but they didn’t really seem like the place where you ask about finding new music.
Again apologies if this isn’t the best sub for this question I just didn’t know where else to ask.
It reminded me of orchestral dubstep, which I like. Maybe something of that genre? https://youtu.be/k3ecg2mahps?t=78
You might like Igorrr. His style is a bit more metal than EDM. He combines classical and baroque styles with heavy modern electronic sounds, which you may like.
I am most certainly interested in this… This will be going into a different playlist though haha. Thank you.
This doesn’t address your question really, but on Reddit there was a great sub called /r/ifyoulike (or possibly/r/ifIlike, I’m not sure) which was exactly for asking this sort of question - “I like this, please recommend more like it”.
Not sure if you use Reddit or not, but if you do, you might try there. Of course, ideally we’d have something like that here, and you wouldn’t have to go there!
Unfortunately I was banned from reddit without explanation so I can’t use it anymore lmao.
Ah, yeah, that would make it difficult 😁
Just wee bit.
Try youtube music. You don’t need an account on desktop. Just go to the site and search the genre or type in “songs (or artists) like [title of the song or name of artist]. Then look at the community playlist results. More often than not, someone already made a playlist that you can work off of.
I actually have YouTube music and the radio stations based on that song just come back as full on hard style or other EDM without the classical or orchestra side of it sadly. I have tried several searches for community playlists and none of them really have what I am looking for unfortunately.
Unless there is some way to search for community playlists that include a specific track that I don’t know about… That would be super handy.
Ha! Never heard this before, but it’s awesome that another group has played with Verdi’s “dies irae.”
So, this is nothing like what you’re looking for, but here’s another take on “dies irae” by Symphony X.
Nah I have a playlist where this will go. Thank you haha.
Much appreciated. It feels weird saying this but you can really tell this is 12 years ago EDM production. I’m glad I was able to rave back then, but man has techno/EDM come a long way since then haha.
You might also like Apashe’s stuff:
I have a few of their songs already but I appreciate the recommendation. Tells me I am not alone in this hunt haha.
Description sounds like Saint Slime
Cool track! Thanks for showing it! I wish I had a better answer with a clear hybrid like yours rather than a change of style, but check these out: Malenia, Blade of Miquella, from the game Elden Ring, and then a synthwave arrangement of it
