It’s not so black and white. Hear me out: I’m strong against the MAGAs and not impressed with the reps either but I’ve been noticing something interesting happening:

I think there’s a difference between people who voted republican (conservatives) who legitimately believed a lie or just saw what they wanted to see(single issue voters) and MAGA who knew it was a lie and deeply corrupt.

You can see more refined polarizing on the level of what is happening right now on the judiciary branch. It is Republican judges that are holding Trump at bay in the crazy executive orders and illegal and constitutional crisis at the moment.

These judges were Republicans appointed by Bush.

And it’s the MAGAs that are screaming “DEM JUDGES” without first checking the flags on their trojan horse before doing so. Which is really just outing themselves to the republican voting base. I think the republicans are realizing they were a shill. and yes, i am with you that they shouldn’t be all “leopards ate my face” about it and so much of that is that they were complacent while the MAGAs were making open insults to minorities right in front of them.

That said, I think icing them out is not useful. I’m liking how the Dems are stepping up in the ruby red states and flipping seats. They are not icing them out and instead, using the strength of vote. Cuz yeah: republicans do vote. They just need to be led. at this point it’s to be lead away from their own slaughter and detriment and lessening the impact of damage that this caused(for everyone). Cuz like it or not, their votes do change the tide along with the Dems who vote.

There’s also those who whine but refuse to vote over casual excuses that hopefully this is a wakeup call for. I still hate them more deeply than anyone else for this happening. Well maybe on par with how much I hate MAGATs who spew pure toxicity at anyone who gets in their way of blindly “hurting libs” to everyone’s detriment. Cuz sitting by and expecting everyone to save their asses while they doomglare about everything and take up space is passing their self burdening as someone else’s problem.

Republicans supplied MAGAs with a trojan horse by being complacent to who represents their team whether they want to admit it or not.

I think most of this is being driven by personal vendettas. if you look at each person on the right, it seems they all have a grudge of some such and this current administration promises to deliver based on revenge.

The biggest player being Elon: His son Xavier has transitioned. And when his (now daughter) called out Elon’s nazi wave as being legitimate, Elon tipped his hand by saying the woke killed his son and he is out to kill the woke mind(https://www.aol.com/news/elon-musk-estranged-daughter-responds-155107557.html) - So Elon sank a tonne of money to sway this election to his own vendetta.

For Dementia donald : it’s Biden winning the 2020 election.

For Vance it’s repressed feelings you can see he’s trying to break out the drag queen smokey eye: although he’s an opportunist at the base of it. So he’s getting two things met here. I think because he’s at odds with himself(still eyelining everyday) his soul has vacated, he has much self insecurity and is unhappy with himself as a person and projects that as anger and revenge on everyone who he views is as weak as he feels. Sort of a projected self hatred.

For the speaker mike johnson: he’s a gay convert, big proponent of the conversion therapy so lots to unpack there. even lives with a reverend while married to a woman. to simplify it : He’s against the ‘woke mind’ because he has a lot of self hate. He’s against himself. For Hegeseth: he’s an untreated alcoholic that self medicates rather than face a true recovery.

JFK Jr: wormbrain. his worm is against anything that would kill parasites. I don’t think there’s much of a human being in that brain anymore. I think it’s all parasite now.

For Leavitt: greedy and sees this as an opportunity(as do most of the party) - and while we can say she’s young and easily influenced I’m not prepared to let her off the hook on this. There are too many progressive young minds to prove this was a choice of her’s. Not simply ignorance. It’s stupidity for sure. but not from not knowing any better.

That’s the thing though: if you’re having trouble finding someone who wants to listen to you, the problem might possibly be you. let’s just say it’s not out of the realm of possibility. But if you are happy to sit there refusing therapy with circular logic: you’re your own problem and all this is is you’ve found a way to self sustain that cover and you’ve convinced yourself. Fair enough. That’s your decision,

therapy is really for those who are ready to admit they are unhappy with how things are(and willing to realize they play a part in their unhappiness) and more open to tearing down those old toxic behaviours to build something more engaging that might do better at relationships .

If you don’t see yourself in that description, then you’re right. Therapy would do nothing for you.

As is echoed a lot in this entire post of replies: therapy isn’t really mentioned here. And that might be a key when it comes to male mental and emotional health.

It does exist in the way that chocolate ‘solids’ exist as an element of chocolate. A typical chocolate bar consists of both chocolate solids and cocoa butter. It’s still an element of what you’re eating,

So just cuz you eat ‘chocolate’ because you think you only favor the solids, you’re still eating the butter too in what makes chocolate. It’s like drinking milk products and then getting pedantic over people who use butter as a food even though milk contains some the same elements.

But again this is about stupid hills to die on. And you picked an intolerant and ignorant stance so I guess you technically win in this particular topic.
