The closer you are to no money, the more expensive life gets
The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money. Take boots, for example. … A really good pair of leather boots cost fifty dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were sort of OK for a season or two and then leaked like hell when the cardboard gave out, cost about ten dollars. … But the thing was that good boots lasted for years and years. A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that’d still be keeping his feet dry in ten years’ time, while a poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet. This was the Captain Samuel Vimes ‘Boots’ theory of socio-economic unfairness.
Wtf, I’ve got to eat again!?
The system is working as intended.
And by some bullshit happening I mean buying the new Switch or buying whichever device Valve will release
“Some bullshit” yeah right you just craved for that avocado toast, didn’t you?
I started my financial success after pirating instead of paying subscriptions. Took that extra money and bought some random stocks.
Lord yeah. The money saved by not paying for all those streaming services might actually be able to buy a yacht, fuck the coffee
I had like 4 streaming services. My total savings like close to 80 bucks. Started with doing meme stocks and made a few bucks. Then moved to more stable investments. My ETFs and stocks are giving me 22% returns since I started.
I’m also still buying stocks every month. Mostly ETFs. JPEQ is my favorite.
While I don’t have yacht money, I now have boat money. I still pirate tho.
I now have boat money. I still pirate
thoPlunder the seas!
Ahoy!!
Literally life lately holy shit
This is my life. A few years ago I decided to think about it differently - something happens, but I have the money to cover it. Gave up.
Bunda? Is that what you’re subliminating at me?
Definitely not me spending all of my savings on a new clutch and slave cylinder :(
Some bullshit = my dumb lazy ass ordering delivery for the third time this week, at least it’s food and not booze this time
